If you just go here to see the pandas, you will come away thinking that it isn't so bad after all. In March 2007 I dragged my Mum to the Beijing Zoo because I wanted to see Pandas (I had never seen them before). I was so delighted by the Panda enclosure. The pandas looked happy, healthy and bright. They were playing and eating while we were there and it was a fantastic experience. I had seen reviews before I went and was dreading to see the Panda's enclosures but they were absolutely fine, the looked healthy and happy enough and it was a delight to see them. Also the shop there was more reasonable then most for all sorts of Beijing souvernirs!! more
