But watch out for the tourists and buses! This is a very popular tourist place and can get very crowded. Go, take your favorite beverage, and just sit on the beach. When the temple isn't crowded, then walk over. Check out the building with the hole in it - there's a great grocery store in that building, Jason's, where you... More

A lazy day is all ways good in Hong Kong, and no better than to take the bus to Repulse Bay,and lay on the beach and if the waters warm ,go for a swim. Catch the No6 Bus from the central bus depot by the white star ferries, and enjoy the ride. You know when to get off, when the beach is on the... More

When you think of a paradise beach, where the sand is golden, the water sky clear, the palms and the trees lush green, the birds graceful, and the people hot, you don`t think Hong Kong. Well, now think twice. Repulse Bay is located in the very opposite side of the island, a very affluent residential area, where words like tropical... More

A couple of buildings for the moneyed elite, a charmless and dirty beach, and nothing else that I can think of recommending. Stay on the bus and head to Stanley. Or anywhere.

It was a nice day for the beach - the air was warm (for Canadian standards, about 25C with a 32 humidity and sunny) and for a weekday, it was relatively quiet except for tons Chinese tourists milling around taking pictures of who they must have thought were nuts for going into the freezing water, my daughter and husband. I... More

Repulse Bay beach is a nice beach and bay during the off-season. In the summer, water can be quite dirty for swimming, and the down-side is all the tour groups(mostly mainland Chinese) that parade through and stop to take photos of everyone lying in the sun. It can be a great place to people watch though if you don't mind... More

Theres just not too much too this people. Bunch of rich expats with a featureless beach compared to Hong Kongs other great beaches around the corner such as South Bay, Shek-o or Big wave bay.
