In the 1950s, this 17 floor building towered over its rivals, making this architectural gem a prize for the early Hong Kong skyline. Today, this past giant is dwarfed by the modern skyscrapers that line Hong Kong Island, making the old Bank of China building difficult to find let alone see, unless you are specifically looking for it. “The First Tallest Building in Hong Kong”

It open in 1951, was the tallest building at that time, the old HSBC building next to it was slightly shorter, maybe there are reason for it? no one knows, not worth a look now a day, just part of Hong Kong history of skyline of the bygone days.
