Nobody really rides the cable car just for the sake of riding the cable car, so I'm not sure why this merits a separate attraction from Big Buddha and the Monastery. I had a beautiful clear day to go to the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. Very easy to get to on the MTR and went in a crystal cabin - which was clear bottomed gondola! The Buddha was amazing and the meal at the temple was OK! TIP ... take an umbrella for shade! more

We went to Ngong Ping via bus ride from Mui Wo. Boy, I felt dizzy with the winding road. Ngong Ping village is a quiet place though packed with tourists.
