5 of us visited on a very wet day just before lunch time. The setting was very relaxing especially after just arriving in Hong Kong after a 12 hour flight! The tea menu was extensive and the staff could not speak great English but we managed. Although the tea wasn't cheap, it was fantastic. There was a real performance to... More

I went to LokCha one morning for a tea appreciation course. I am a total newbie to tea, but with a couple of friends we wanted to have a local experience beyond the usual tourist things. Whilst the price was not exactly cheap, we had a lot in return, as our tutor was so generous with her demonstrations and explanations... More

I visited the Lock Cha Tea House in Hong Kong Park on a Sunday in November with a friend for a light Dim Sum lunch. All of the Dim Sum offered is vegetarian, so if you are looking for pork buns etc, this probably is not the place for you. We had a good selection of Dim Sum, glutinous rice... More

We went to the tea shop for veggie dim sum and tea. Even though we were the only ones at the tea shop at 11:45 am we were told we needed to be done before 12:30 because we didn't have reservations. The dim sum was ok. The tea was very good, but expensive.

I had an amazing experience here. This is one of the most famous and popular teahouses in all of Hong Kong, to expect that you can just walk in is just silly. Look at any eatery in HK during lunch time, please. The place was probably empty just before the rush and it comes on the dot at 12:00, by... More

My wife and I had read reviews of this restaurant prior to visiting Hong Kong and were very excited to visit. After making our way up the hill to the park on a very hot day where this restaurant is located we walked in and were "greeted" by one of the rudest individuals we have encountered in Hong Kong. While... More

Lovely atmosphere - an oasis of calm in a very busy city. Lovely teas - especially the flower ones that open out. Check the price as one or two types are very expensive. We were told that it can be very busy at lunch time but is peaceful after 2pm. We went twice. As the food is cooked by nuns... More

Have just returned from an amazing trip to Hong Kong. One of our trips was to HK Park where we had an unforgettable experience in the Lock Cha tea shop. We had invaluable help from the Chinese 'waitresses' on which teas to sample & were given a demonsration on how to infuse the teas & how they should be served... More
