Prior to going to Nanjing, I thought I had heard that this memorial was going to be somewhat gruesome and have graphic pictures of what went on during the Nanjing Massacre. To my surprise, this memorial was very very well thought out and designed and while it is dedicated to the over 300,000 people that died during the massacre it... more

I was lucky enough to go in April 2008 not long after it opened. I wasn't sure what to expect but when all was done, it was one of the most moving experiences. more
