We've just been there last weekend. We initially booked for the month of March but it was canceled because of heavy rains so we rescheduled for this month. I was actually getting stressed out on this trip because Trekpros (doesn't actually seemed like they're "pros") are ripping us off! So, tip for other adventurers out there, NEVER be fooled by... We arrived in Capas, Tarlac pm. Checked in at Paradise Inn..It was more of a motel than an Inn.. They have clean rooms and restrooms and for 3 persons a room Php 1200 wasnt so bad. We occupied 6 rooms and had dinner at a nearby resto Victor's ( order their sisig, it was really good) we waited till 10... More

Yeah sure, you can drive up it, walk up hit, damn you can even run up it if you like, but the best way to experience it is by a joy flight over it. It cost me 7500 pesos (up to 3 people) and I booked it though Beeline Travel agency in Angeles City. The pilot (Jimmy - American fighter... More

Cool place and very impressive scenery. Crater is great. Tips though: 1. Be sure to have the right guide and right weather. 2. Need to treck so always be ready to pack your trecking gear. 3. Even breakfast or lunch included, better to bring your extra energy bar n drinks and first aid kit. After the 4x4 ride n trecking... More

Trekking to Mt. Pinatubo is one of those "easy adventures" that is a must do these days. I have been there on foot around 4 times (and 1 by air). The trek might be long, but is quite easy... but the reward is when you get there. The sight is breathtaking and so worth it. I suggest you start your... More

We went to Mt. Pinatubo on March 17, 2012. For me, the view was beautiful but no so breath taking. But it's definitely nice to see. We availed of the 999 PHP promo in GROUPON (beeconomic.com.ph) without transportation and food. Note: The deal only covers 4x4 ride and a guide. For this tour, Groupon's partner is Travel Save Tour/ Trek... More

If your with friends- it ain't necessary to really try and keep up with each other's pace (it is recommended but not realy required) I am on the heavier side and I did the trek from the 4x4 drop off point towards the crater in maybe two hours and a half. TIPS ON THE TRIP: 1.) Eat before setting off.... More

The crater lake is indeed beautiful and it is worth the sweat. Do prepare to cross streams and some climbing though not much. Most of the trek is relaxing but maybe the last 30mins will be a little more taxing. Bring sufficient food and water with you. Sun screen and hat is a must!

I book my trip from a tour agency in Angeles City which consist of a 4*4 transportation, a guide, entrance fees, lunch and a bottle of water. With 4 people, two in my party and another two hikers, which brought down the cost per person. The jeep portion was very bumpy but fairly uneventful. We did stop for a few... More

When you pay for this trip, please double check what is included. The PHP 999 package per person which is usually advertised on Groupon, MetroDeal, etc. includes the 4x4 ride and a guide. The mandatory tourism fee of PHP 390 is extra. On top of that, you need to get to Santa Juliana and back (PHP 650); breakfast, packed lunch... More
