We went there on a cloudless night. Not only were we able to see the fireflies and the planktons, we were also given the chance to see a magnitude of glowing stars.

My friends and I decided to try this tour on our last night. It was very last minute so we weren't able to reserve or book. Once we got there, the concierge informed us that it could be a two hour long wait before they could accommodate us. So, we decided to scout for reviews from those who just got... More

... After a long night road travel from the city, one will never really know what to expect in this dark and remote village. You ride a small banca (canoe), with a lone paddler that doubles as you tourist guide. The sky was clear, the waters were calm and the silence was soothing. The sky was clear and the guide... More

This is a truly adventurous trip, you will see something that is exciting, fun and educational. The laminating insect will capture your imagination as your guide scientifically explains the workings of the fire fly. Bring a neem based insect repellent and go early. We barbecued and picnicked with friends and kayaked while the food roasted. Of course it was daylight,... More

You only go in the evening of course. A very bumpy ride to get to the place. Bring insect repellant and spray your whole body with it prior to getting in the boat. When you arrive, you hop into a canoe and you travel along the waters to see the fireflies. It is a nice relaxing experience. If the guide... More

This is excellent! The kids enjoyed it. I have never seen in my life so much fireflies. They were magnificent to see. On the night we visited it was a shame it was cloudy, would have been perfect on a cloudless night, still an overall amazing experience.

Fireflies are supposedly an indication of clean air. So it's rare to be able to find places to do this activity in. Coupled with a relaxing boat ride under the moonlight, the experience was worth waiting out the rain for.
