So the Tarsiers are cute. Feeding them grubs is really cool too - one was giving me a wicked smile. But I really really enjoyed the monkey they had in the back. He was playful and fun. Plenty of tarsier to see up close (just don't touch!). It was smaller than I had expected but still glad that I went. Not sure why everyone else seemed to be using flash as most of my pictures came out great without it (my camera did have some problems focusing on them but that wasn't a flash issue). more

This place is well worth a visit if you have a spare couple of hours while in Tagbilaran. If you don't have your own transport you can get there by catching a jeep to Corella township and then a tricycle from here to the Tarsier Sanctuary but note that tricycles are not that plentiful in Corella township and you will... more

The Tarsier foundation should be the only place allowed where tourist can see the tarsier. DO NOT go see them at loboc river, they are kept in small cages and their life is considerably shortened by so much stress. They are an endangered species and nocturnal , they commit suicide in bad condition. At the foundation a local guide takes... more

The Tarsiers are indeed tiny - small enough to fit in the plam of an adult's hand. They are nocturnal. The viewing area is small, and becomes crowded if there are more than half a dozen visitors at once. Touching of the Tarsiers is no longer allowed.
