poor sanitation lesser police visibility and vendors are almost everywhere, the transportation is a total mess.. the boats are not safe anymore..

White fine sands, beautiful beach. But this place is also so commercialized that it became so crowded with big hotels and restaurants around. The idea of a nice and quiet holiday doesn't apply here.

The poor island is so overdeveloped that now the algae in the beach is from the organisms thriving on sewage leeching through the island sewage systems into the waters. Considering this is the Philippines the beaches on the west side are kept very clean that can't be said about the rest of boracay. Unfortunately the message being send to the locals and tourists isn't seen beyond the beaches. plus the beach front hotels aren't like beach front elsewhere.
