W check out botanical gardens all over the world as we sail our boat around the world. I am a Master Gardener from Georgia. We really enjoyed our visit to the Gardens and will recommend that our out-of-town guests pay for the National Orchid Garden. I also went for an early morning run, before sunrise through the garden. There are loads of other runners and walkers at that time and yet it still was a beautiful and tranquil run. more

The Botanic Garden are lovely but the Orchid Garden are a must see. For a small fee of $5 per adult you will see the most amazing displays of orchids, make sure you take your camera! more

Do not miss the orchid displays. You have to pay to enter this part of the garden but it is well worth it. The signage in the gardens is sometimes lacking but a map is offered and this is really useful. The gift shops have a lovely selection of products. The area is wonderfully managed and maintained. This is a great place to walk around in peaceful surroundings. Its free entry so makes it great for a family outing without burning a hole in the pocket. I visited the Botanical Gardens during my first day in Singapore. As a disclaimer, I really don't get into "plants and stuff like that" but this was worth the trip anyways.
