This is a great place to wander around and relax if you have spent the last few days running around Singapore trying to do as much as possible.
The gardens are beautiful and very tropical, and you can just sit on the grass watching the birds wading through the fountain/lake.
The restaurant also has some lovely food so worth staying...

Singspore botanical gardens are set in a great location and easy to get to. You can walk there from the city. You will need a couple of hours to get around the gardens and the orchard garden is well worth the entrance fee. There are a few places to eat which are set in beautiful natural surroundings. I spent a very pleasant afternoon strolling around these beautifully maintained gardens away from the hustle and bustle that is Singapore. A time to relax and to take a picnic whilst cooling off by the lake.
We did not stay long but were lucky to see a bridal couple come especially for pictures.....the grounds are extensive and the orchid garden is quite good. We found it a bit difficult to get a cab back to the main city.

If your ever in Singapore this is a MUST, just to have a break from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful gardens over 100 years old in the middle of the city. I have never seen a botanical garden with so much variety before. The palm trees are HUGE.
The Orchid section is a must even if...
