Don't bother. What started as a fake reincarnation of a typical Malay village is nothing but a non authentic falling apart mess that shouldn't be on the tourist map. If you want to see kampung life in Singapore. Head to pulau ubin or lorong buangkok before things get bulldozed. Or better yet head to Malaysia

if you're looking for a comfortable place, where all is show and nothing is real, malay village is not your place. however, if you're looking for the kampong way of life and want hands-on instead of looking at artefacts in display cases, the place is just for you. the place has had many bad reviews and has been even termed...
