Visited the singapore zoo. If you are from Sydney and been to Taronga Zoo, then I recommend to skip the Sinagpore day zoo. Taronga is more or less the same and in my opinion its bigger and better. If you haven't been to Taronga, then Singapore zoo is worth the visit. If you intend to catch public transport, take the... more

The Zoo is an absolute must while in Singapore. I have been to many zoos around the world, and this is the best I have every been to, and the animals all look healthy and happy. All the animals are free to roam around in their area, and aren't caged in like alot of zoos I have been to. Very... more

Well at least this one does... I get the feeling it would probably be quite dissapointing in the day, but at night with the close 'jungle' feel on the dimly lit trails, I don't think there's a zoo that can match it for atmosphere. When a big cat starts to shriek, you really do feel that you're next on the... more

Agree with everyone else about this being a unique and excellent experience. My only addition is that as a solo traveller, I was a bit hesitant to venture too far on my own on the walking trails, as they are VERY dark & quite eery when you're on your own. In saying that, the tram ride was brilliant as were... more

Went here with my family (children aged 12 and 14) to the night zoo. Booked the trip through Tour East. The guide on the bus trip was very good. On arrival at the Zoo at about 7.30pm it was very crowded. We had a meal in the good food court, in the entry area, which had a good choice for... more

Don't go to the Zoo without the Jungle Breakfast. $18 and starts at 09:00. As others have said, great food, elephants, orangutans, snakes and great start to the day. Taxi trip about $15. Took us about 5 hrs and we saw everything. Resting areas are good, even the toilets were nice with an outdoor jungle theme. Didn't use the tram,... more

I Hate zoos. I used to live not very from San Diego zoo and never visited there. I hate animal abuse and believe they should roam free. But my animal lover husband dragged me to Singapore zoo and we spent entire day visiting the zoo. Like everybody said the animals are not caged they roam free so you see them... more

Have had breakfast at the zoo twice now. 1st time booked via travel agent at hotel, this time contacted zoo by email for information before leaving home and called to book once in Singapore. Was cheaper to do this way and no problems with arranging or travelling there. We purchased our 2 park pass for Zoo and Night Sarfari at... more

If you have a full day to spend, you can easily spend that in singapore zoo since it is so vast. To get there, you can get a taxi or if you want to use public transport like we did, take the MRT to Ang Mo Kio station, cross the road from across the station and take the 138 bus... more

We stayed in Singapore early Dec 2007, we are the sort of people who don't like visiting zoo's because the animals are all caged, this is not so at Singapore zoo. We stepped off the MRT and were approached by someone selling zoo tickets, we were given a free tram ride, very resonable S$21 each the price even included a... more
