The one thing I love about living in Singapore is the musicals that come our way. Although I live in Singapore, I'm away often but I try to catch as many musicals as I can whenever I'm around. Food is plentiful at Esplanade too for the hunger pangs that come before or after the shows.

Sitting on prime waterfront at Marina Bay, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay offers a complete lifestyle experience in dining, shopping and the performing arts. It was completed in 2002 and is well-recognised for its “prickly” exterior similar to the durian, a popular local fruit.

The theatres are beautifully built inspired by the shape of the Durian fruit on the outside, & the inside is no less. The theatre itself is classy, the seating is comfortable & give unobtrusive viewing. Tickets are fairly priced. All in a ll a great place to catch a show.

View is nice with some restaurants along the bay where you can refresh. Sometimes there is live show on the theatre, it's free to watch, but watch out for untolerable noise - if it's rock music or other stuffs like that. If you're lucky, they might be showing something nice. Check the timetable for the show. Better access with bus...

The theatre is a hib for perforamnces and concerts. I saw the Swan Lake here and also a couple of open music concerts. Makes for a fabulous walk along the river, great views and pretty pictures

Undisputedly the best venue in Singapore for the performing arts. Love the theatre and the concert hall is a magnificent place to be as well.
