The best things I like about this place is..there are so much knowledge about Singapore we can gain but..in a Fun way.. The best place to know Singapore without the textbook.
Although located in the western industrial part of Singapore, this centre has its attractions with new showcases every now and then, pulling both locals, expatriates and tourists alike.
Singapore discovery centre is singapores interactive road trip on their country. Though all techno -savy ,the centre failed to really impress us. There were some fun moments inside but,we were wating for that moment. Its more of a trip for young kids from local schools .The 3d show wasnt great . Howevr, the army musuem nearby is wotha vist anf...

The discovery centre was very cool, i went with my school. It showed everything a true Singaporean should know. In the middle, we watched a very touching video of a girl whose parents died in a terrorism and she became blind.. after a lot off training, she could go back too her old school and everyone was very happy. We went to the Singapore Discovery Centre because I wanted to go to SnowCity. The place was quite disappointing, not stimulation or exciting. You would expect a discovery centre would include a lot of exciting or interesting scientific attractions. They should improve the place and include other mind stimulating attractions. It was not owrth the visit.
The premise needs a hi-tech & modern make-over, doesn't live up to international standards. The staff don't show much enthusiasm in serving & not courteous to both adults and children. The activites may need revamping to bring more excitement & mental stimulation to the needs of school-going children. Quite a let-down to many visitors because the venue is already so...

One thing I learned here is that Singaporean Govt is very insecure. the centre focussed on trying to teach the visitors how to deals with disasters should they happen to singapore, how to manage singapore in crisis and every other thing about 'how to' if something happens to singapore like a terrorist attack etc. i read lee kuan yew's book...

I had great fun with my children, all the exhibits were very nice. There were so many divisions, you need time to see, read and have fun.The place closes at 6pm which did not help us as we reached only at 1 noon due to rains in the morning.Lots ofwaterplay ,alos snow centreforkids to enjoy, along with eco-gardens to view.
i visited the centre last month when it just reopened. good and suitable place for everyone. you can learn about Singapore history. interactive games, giant screen movies, bus tour around a military camp (that's rare!) and a computed simulated shooting game using real rifles.
