We did this trip from Bariloche to Puerto Varas in April 2012 and it was a great experience. The service received from the booking office prior to our trip was comprehensive and helpful. Although expensive, it is a really full day with a lot of services, and thus in my opinion worth the money. All staff were extremely professional and... More

We booked our two places (for route Puerto Varas – Bariloche in one day) on the Cruce Andino a few months in advance. Great service from Nora in the office, always answering my emails promptly, providing advice. She also called me the day before our trip to advise that we need to arrive at their office a bit earlier as... More

We did this trip from Bariloche to Puerto Montt. Booked it very much in advance, and booking went ok. We were told to be at 7am at the office at the day of departure, but fortunately we checked this through our hotelreception when we arrived in Bariloche cause it turned out to be the case that we would be picked up... We started trip in the rain, by the time we got to Peulla there was no cloud on the sky. 4 busses and 3 boats in great scenery, views are great.

The three-lake crossing between Bariloche and Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt is an ideal way to experience the beauty of the Argentine/Chilean Lake District. In good weather you will enjoy beautiful lakes and a series of stunning volcanoes, with three boat trips, a (temperate) rain forest, a good hotel lunch and good guides. It's a long day, but well worth the cost... More

Although we were lucky to have a great day and sunny weather, I think this tour is great... i have done it before and at that time the weather was not that good, but still the experience was great.. The service and guides are excellent, very helpful and friendly.. They pick you up from the hotel in Puerto Varas.. Very... More

The crossing is definitely worthwhile, but only if the weather is sunny, as the previous reviewer commented. The views of volcanoes, Osorno and Puntiagudo, are absolutely captivating as the catamaran glides by on the lake. This is the rainy season in Chile, but we were lucky to get a clear sunny day. I was particularly enchanted with the color of... More

This full day trip, known as the Lakes Crossing, crosses the Andes between Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas in Chile and Bariloche in Argentina, and can be done in either direction. You can also break it into two days by staying at Peulla in a lovely location on one of the lakes. We did it in mid March, from Puerto... More
