The Museum, housed in a lovely belle-époque building which reminds of the Petit Palais in Paris, has a good collection of Chilean art. It is understaffed and underfunded.

Although this museum hardly houses any big name international exhibitions, the building's architecture itself, makes it worthwhile to visit.
great building in the Belle Epoque style. superb central area with statues. exhibitions OK, but could be better presented.
Bellas Artes is a fairly empty space and even though it has some nice pieces, is a big disappointment. Not worth going out of your way for. In fact the building is the best bit!
