The ski area at La Parva is about 3/4 of the size of an average major resort in Utah or Colorado, but it being connected to Valle Nevado, and offering a multi-resort pass is a great plus. La Parva is a great resort, so basically you could be staying anywhere and it wouldn't matter as long as it was less than 15 minutes away from La Parva's base.
