Intricately worked gold leaf throughout which when combined with simple geometric patterns and moorish design elements make for one amazingly beautiful church!

Thisnis one of the highlights of Quito, with it's history and decoration. Unfortunately, as with most churches in Quito, no photographs are allowed. It only takes a short time to visit but leaves lasting memories.

Well worth the few bucks to get in. Heck , the OUTSIDE is amazing with the excessive of decoration, but the amount of gold inside is beyond anything I've seen, even in the Vatican. Splendid interiour in the original Spanish-Moorish baroque style

This is a beautiful church which rivals many in Europe. Absolutely worth seeing.

We caught a free concert at night in the church by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador. It was inspiring!

As mentioned above, this is a beautiful church, I just feel that it needs a little bit of upkeep without destroying any of the antiquity.

thieves stole my camera while in the church. ruined the trip!

Very beautiful and interesting, but can't say it was worth the fee (6$ each) to get in. We didn't get a guide because none were available, and that may have made it better.
