This has some unique properties to it, but really it isn't much different from the other churches, except that this is RIGHT off the trolebus (which is much less comfortable than taking the Ecovia). I went to the church, inside they have a treasure, a small chapel for the Virgen, with such a lot of details, quite barroque, just awesome. then I went to the museum which is just as stunning as the rest of the convent. In quito around 90% of the population is catholic due to the spanish bringing the religion into the country. Thus the reason why the church was built. Inside this church it is beautfully decorated with magnificent paintings and gold leaf.
