There are numerous videos showing the suposedly fake water experiment, but I did not found a single one reproducing the same effect in other location and conditions. Only 2 bucks to get in, you can't lose. Not much else to do, besides take pictures and shop. Still a cool place. more

This museum, which unlike the monument, does sit on the location of the Equator, is a boring collection of bad replicas of indigenous life in Ecuador as well as stuffed and wood animals. The highlight of the museum is supposed to be the scientific experiments which supposedly prove that you are standing on the Equator, but unfortunately they are all... more

This is one of the attractions a traveler should see when he is in Quito. It's just a short taxi drive from downtown. There is a monument and a line that, supposedly, divides the two hemispheres. There's also other things to see in the park where the monument is located. It's a good way to kill a couple of hours... more

We enjoyed this original museum/attraction. Not only did we participate in the unique science experiments that can only be done on the equator, we learned about some indigenous groups. You only need 60-90 minutes and most will certainly enjoy it. more
