I had an unfogettable experience in the most amazing and alive place on our planet, the Amazon jungle rainforest. My friend and I decided that we had to take a trip, and where better than to the very lungs of the Earth? We found our guide-to-be, Gerson, on this very website! He introduced himself to us as someone who had... More

I highly recommend visiting Manu but NOT for the standard 3night trip. You won't see much wildlife as you need to get further into the jungle and away from people, settlements and other tour groups. Our guide, Jhin Pierr from Rainforest Expeditions, was superb. He is so knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure our time in the rainforest was brilliant. It is well worth taking extra... We stayed at the EcoAmazonia Lodge 2 hours down the river from Puerto Maldonado in Peru. The lodges we stayed in were very rustic and felt authentic and in keeping with the surroundings. There was limited electric for a few hours in the day and evening - the fans in the rooms are very cooling as the heat was very... More
