I did a 3 day hike into the Colca Canyon. It was a perfect number of days to get some hiking in but also be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of Peru. It was one of the most amazing and beautiful places I have been to.

The scenery is amazing, and it was great to see much wildlife on the way. The canyon is deeper than the Grand Canyon and the hike is hard, but we did the 3-day option with a good company and it was easily achievable. A thoroughly enjoyable time.

Colca Canyon was the #1 pleasant surprise in our 18-day trip to Peru. It is simply lovely, tranquil, and relaxing. We are so delighted we included Colca Canyon and wished we had booked a longer stay!
