This house has been owned by some very notable people. It is beautifully restored and gives a real insight into what their living would have been like. This is very centrel in Arequipa and only about 10 minute walk from the Plaza de Arma. Some amazing art works here.

This was a pretty cheap entrance fee so if you want to see/tour the inside of a colonial house, it's worth it. We were the only visitors when we went so it was fun to wonder the courtyard alone and check out the niches of the house. The outdoor area/roof gave some OK views of Mt. Misti.

Too often overlooked by visitors to the old town of Arequipa, I highly recommend a visit to this colonial city mansion, beautifully restored and furnished with period furniture and works of art (including examples of the Cusco School of painting). The guide I had was excellent and made the visit much more worth while.

We spent a while walking to find this colonial mansion but it was well worth tracking down. Well preserved home with oil paintings, maps and furniture it is well worth the visit
