Owner description:
Contemporary Peruvian art exhibited in 120 square meters on the first and second floors of a 1700's colonial house. Special exhibits each month on the 2nd floor. Exhibits by resident artist Altamirano as well as both young and recognized Peruvian artists in the 1st floor galleries. Open 9AM to 9PM Monday - Saturday. Just 1.5 blocks from the Plaza de Armas of central Cusco. The best and most beautiful gallery in Cusco if not all of Peru. The 2nd floor space is sometimes used for cultural activities (music, theatre, presentations) in addition to its use as an exposition space for the gallery. Maria Elena Mendoza Altamirano de Miller is the director and resident artist and graduate of the Diego Quispe Tito School of Fine Arts of Cusco, Peru.Your are also welcome to visit the Dragon's Palate Restaurant just off of the art gallery.
