We went here on our first day in Cuzco. It was a nice place to visit, but the only annoying aspect was all the street vendors descending like vultures....other than that, it was nice.

We saw the Plaza de Armas - beautiful setting, wonderful history, but be prepared for the street merchants haggling you at every turn! We had drinks at "Paddy's Pub" if you want an Irish flair, there is even a Starbucks for those who need their fix!
The Plaza de Armas is a great place to start when site seeing in Cusco. It is close to most hotels, there are several shops, restaurants and bars for food. Additionally, there are several beautiful churches and other sites very close to the area. All taxi drivers will know how to get here and if you are meeting friends or...

Well, what can I say about it? You will be there if you go to Cusco, and it is gorgeous! Enjoy, take your time. Also, have some food in your pocket or purse for some hungry skinny dogs that wonder around (not just this plaza... anywhere in Cusco)...
No trip to Cusco would be complete without at least a brief visit to the Plaza de Armas. The churches are rustic and beautiful and the square itself is a great place to shop, eat, and peoplewatch. Compared to Lima, Cusco's Plaza de Armas feels much more relaxed and tourist-friendly.
The Plaza de Armas has everything at your fingertips. Restaurants, cafes, shops, attractions. It's definitely a must see to take some beautiful pictures of the beautiful city
You can find all the tourist places in this square
This is a great place to see the history in Cuzco but also a great place to go back to for dinner and shopping. On the weekends you will find a parade, wedding, or musicians.
The plaza is located in the heart of the city and is a busy and attractive place. The plaza has a beautiful setting surrounded by churches and historic buildings. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on a park bench and watching both locals and tourists.
