Pisac was the first place we stop on our trip to Peru and was a great beginning to our journey. I highly recommend spending a few hours here, as the views of the valley are magnificent. The rain rolled in while we were visiting the cliffs and watching it go through the valley was just beautiful. Be prepared to walk... More

This was a market area where the native people sold their goods. It had huge selections of all sorts of goods. It was a bit overwhelming since we had only just arrived the day before. People approached you to buy paintings, take their picture and then they wanted money....it was nice but I think I would have appreciated it more... More

We stopped by in Pisac for a short time on our just one day "slide" through Sacred Valley. Went to the market, did a lot of our "alpaca" shopping there. Prices there in Pisac are very comparable to prices of goods on a Central market in Cusco. We later on continued looking for last minute gifts for people back home... More

Pisac (new) town is a small village catering for the mass tourist trade by virture of its huge market selling everything Inca! However, our guide told us that most of the goods are not made locally (unlike in Cusco, Machu Picchu, Ollantytambo) but are shipped in from other areas where they seem to be mass produced. The old Inca town... More

On Sundays it becomes a tourist hub because of the amazing amazing Markets! (a must see!!) but we found out that most of the porters on the trails to Machu Picchu live here or close by to Pisac. It is a beautiful old town in the valley of Mountains! To get there- Don't pay a tour company! it is costly... More

Enjoyed a very brief visit during Sacred Valley tour, but then took bus back during a day in Cusco. Took local bus from NE of Plaza de Armas for next to nothing. Market had wide selection of crafts, tourist items, even fresh food. Very colorful and great prices.

I loved Pisac and could have stayed a month. There is a great cafe owned by an American--so sorry I forgot the name but easy to find. A great place to hang out and meet other travellers

Not too much heckling and the prices were all reasonable compared to some of the outrageous prices we saw in other cities. I regret hesitating to buy there.... I missed a few opportunities. The variety is good. Watching the silversmith at work was a real treat! just beside the bakery. The Bakery was a nice touch.... good to snack on an... More
