During our tour of the Sacred Valley, we decided not to take the standard Pisac-->Ollanta tour since they seemed to be only about markets and standard Inca ruins. Our "angel" Vicky took us to Moray, for our day out. The agricultural aspect, from hundreds of years ago is amazing! We experienced three climate changes, the top being cooler, the lower being the same temprature of the Pacific coastline in Peru. It's definitely worth the drive to see this site consisting of huge circular stepped and terraced depressions some of which are still cultivated by locals. When we were there in early October we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Explanations for the site include - agricultural research centre - religious centre - grave of an Incan ruler.
