Most of the tours around Cusco visit the beautiful Sacred Valley with its variety of spectacular Inca and more contemporary attractions but not too many take in the concentric crop terraces at Moray. Its a little bit of a detour from the most trodden path but if you have a day extra in your schedule consider a tour that visits...

Most interesting lesson in the Incan agricultural experiments. A beautifully layed out area of concentric circles sloping down to the bottom level. With an elevation drop of 500 feet, it is a site to behold! There are 3 of these areas to view. You can walk to the bottom, part way, or just enjoy from the top.
Great climb down into the agricultural circle, trying to understand why the Incas wanted to complicate their lives by having to climb up and down very precarious stone steps to tend and harvest their crops.

The area is beautiful and you can walk down into these...

It is located in a natural geological feature whose origin is not explained by our guides or the on-site plaques which is a little annoying. This is a remote location so it takes some time to get there but the drive through the countryside makes it worthwhile. There...
