MAP is pretty unique in that it treats a wide range of pre-Columbian objects not primarily as historical artifacts but as works of art. And some of them are just stunning. It's always hard for me personally (in museums or other forums) to step back from the historical interest in pre-Columbian cultures and appreciate their aesthetics. This museum really helped... more
