The best time to do the Inka Trail is during our dry season between May to September; however, this does not mean that there is no possibility of getting rains or showers because they simply are unforeseeable even by this season. « less

Whatever i say about this trip will not be enough and will not do the experience justice. You just have to experience it for yourself. It was life changing and amazing. If you are trying to decide whether or not you want to do it - stop, and just do it!! Yes it is hard work at times, especially day... More

I did the trail 30 years ago and I had forgotten how steep those hills were. Do not overpack and do not take more than seven kilos with you! Use a credible and respected company to help you and bring your gear. From most respected companies - which you are obliged to use! they will bring tents, food, and drinking... More

Yes, the trail is busy with hikers and porters but you still have time and solitude to take in the sites, scenery and to imagine the grandeur of what the trail must have been in its time. Location of ruins on mountain spurs are spectacular. Many other hikes in Peru that are less busy, but you won't be disappointed in... More

I just got back from an amazing trip to Peru. I Would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend the Inkatrail.com and the tour guides we had in particular Antoni. He was an amazing guide so patient and kind to me when I found it difficult in places especially dead women's pass on the second day. He was with... More

It was crowded but this is a place I have wanted to see for so long. We climbed up the Huayna Picchu and it was exhausting! I would recommend the climb earlier in the day, we did it at 10-11 slot. More

SAS was definately worth the $, we had excellent guides that kept the group laughing and enjoying the sometimes strenuous trails. The food is phenomenal and is locally grown and gathered along the trail. I definately recommend SAS for anybody More

For me, the trek was better then the arrival. The hiking and camping was great, and because of the effort involved and the views and sights on the trail, I found it a bit of an anticlimax to actually get to Machu Picchu. We went with SAS - certainly not the cheapest, but big and very well-organised. I heartily recommend... More
