Miraflores is right on the water front, on the top of the clifs that take you down to the beach of dark sand with lots of pebbles... many surfers, nice "malecon" with flowers and beautiful view.

We had a wonderful walk from Larco Mar to Parque Amor. Certainly the outdoor highlight of our visit to Lima.
We were told and I read in the books that Miraflores is some awesome kind of place... did not think that when i was there...
Personally, I liked Lima's old center more.
What we did like in Miraflores was their Central park: kind of small... but, they have all these different public events (this word "events" - is not quite...

Our group had a fantastic time in Miraflores. It is a beautiful area and in many ways feels like a European city. Very chic and modern with plenty of western restaurants and stores. Some great restaurants where you can feel safe about trying some Peruvian specialties like cuy, anticuchos, pollo a la brasa, or ceviche. We spent some time in...

We spent the night in the Miraflores area. It has a nice plaza. There is also a nice handicraft market nearby, plenty of dining opportunities, and is in a clean, safe neighborhood. We spent most of our time on a day tour, so we didn't spend much time exploring the area itself.
We stayed a weekend on our way to Arequipa. I would deinately recommend this place. Try to stay near Larco Mar. Thats where the best nightlife is.
Aimed at tourists, this is where you will find lots of hotels, bars and restaurants. We stayed within a short walk of the coast and Parque Kennedy. Even the tourist markets are cheap compared to others we visited in Peru. I would recommend a trip to 'pizza street' which is always busy in the evenings- make sure you have a...

This is the district to stay in if you are a tourist. It is clean, safe, and beautiful. It is close/on the beach. We went into the historic district in Lima one day and it was very hot, we finally had to come back to Miraflores to cool down.
Best area to stay in Lima. Lots of good restaurants. Safe to walk around.
Although Lima isnt the most amazing city in the world (there are nicer cities in South America) it does have some fantastic bars, restaurants, and nightlife (Barranco a small suburb near Miraflores also has some good nightlife).
We stayed in Miraflores with a friend and here you are right in the heart of the action. We stayed right on the...
