While in Lima a got a chance to visit Pachacamac. It's a very interesting archaeology site. The trip out to Pachacamac was really interesting, i had no idea lima was surrounded by desert. It's pretty interesting. more

About 40 kms south Lima, Pachacamac was supposed to be a temple or an "oracle" for many pre-columbian cultures in Peru... Eventhough the site is not very well preserved and difficult to understand without a guide (there are local guides available and really cheap) it is totally different from other places you will probably visit in Peru.
