Super encantadora, very charming. Nice to sit on a bench and people watch for a few hours.

You can't visit Lima without going to El Centro, and the Plaza San Martin is about as close as Lima comes to the great European architectural tradition that produced Buenos Aires.
Nice square with many buildings from the late 19th century and early 20th century. The heavy traffic and fast food chains don't do it any favours though.
Almost as important as the Plaza de Armas. Nice historical buildings sorround this important Plaza, including the original Bolivar Hotel and the fantastic Club Nacional.
Was wondering around Plaza Mayor and walked a little and saw the statue of the libertador of Peru and the rest of southern south america Jose de San Martin.
My husband and I came to this square specifically to snap a pic of a statue with a llama for a hat and we were not disappointed. We stayed for a bit because this area is a little less bustling than around the Plaza de Armas and the spray from the pretty fountains was cooling on a hot day.
