Barrio Chino, LIma is in the el centro de Lima, about a 15 minute walk from
the Plaza de Armas, like many china towns in Latin America, it has one main
street w/ shops and restaurants. Salon Capon is a good choice to eat,at the end of the street
which has banners and arches, and it might not be safe...

Its quite dense and parking is a problem in the area. You'll find items difficult to get in the department stores but you should know what to look for and where to find it
For foreign tourist is better to go with someone from Peru, can be a bit dangerous.
The streets are crowded of people and I don't like it. There you can find some options of chinese restaurants and stores. I think is difficult go there and one should be careful.
The best place to eat dim sum! You can shop at very low prices too!
This is a must, pagodas, banks with chinese entrances, great restaurants, chinese pastries...everything you like of asian culture is here. Chinese people has a strong influence in Perus culture in every quartier in Lima you can find the chinese food known in Peru as "Chifas"...the greatest ones are here in chinatown..A whole experience..sound, smell, desings... just great
It is just a normal Chinatown. Shops selling food and tat, restaurants serving Chifa and not much else. There is nothing particularly touristy there, but we had a nice enough half an hour walking around the area.
Interesting enough to walk around and lots of Chinese restaurants, bric-a-brack shops and so on, but overall it's a little rundown and almost all of the original Chinese immigrants have all moved to other parts of Lima. I did see some Chinese tourists taking pictures of Peruvian waiters wearing traditional Chinese clothes.
We are very surprised that Lima had a Chinatown, the restaurants of typical food was simply delicious! , Peru is a fusion of Chinese and Peruvian spices, which makes it very special and characteristic. We recommend everyone visit this place located in the Downtown.
