This was hands down my favorite part of visiting Lima. Everybody comes to see the bones in the crypt, many of them arranged into decorative patterns. But the rest of the site was just as interesting. The library was my personal fave but the choir stalls were really interesting as well. I took the English language tour and the guide... more

The Monasterio de San Francisco in downtown Lima compares quite favorably in terms of beauty, architecture, and art to the churches and monasteries I've visited in Europe.
