A great Mosque /point of reference for Sarajevo from the establish till nowadays.
It is located at the Bascarsija. Very well designed and has so elegant architect. However, you are not allowed to visit-enter the Mosque except the time between 9:00 and 11:00 am. It was build by Sinan (Mimar Sinan) in 1531 with the order of Gazi Husrev-Beg who was governor of Ottoman province of Bosnia. You go, see and feel it....

During our visit to Sarajevo, the mosque was under renovation AND we were there during prayer time so we were not able to go inside. From what we could tell, the huge mosque is well worth the visit (after renovation) and is located near the center of the old town and fountain. I personally find domed buildings such as mosques...

The tittle is a lyric of a famous Bosnian song performed by Crvena Jabuka bend. This mosque is a fine example of past Ottoman rule over Bosnia.
Very crowded especially in praying times on fridays. Don't forget to drink water from the fountain since it will bring you back to Sarajevo.
