I thought the museum did a very effective job of portraying the history of the Jewish population in Sarajevo, over the past several centuries. A small but compact history of Judaism in Sarajevo.The curator I met spoke excellent English and gave an eloquent description of Jewish live in Sarajevo not only during the siege, but during the |Nazi occupation as well.

The Jeewish Museum in Sarajevo is located in the old synagogue. Its room were used both during and after the last war to store and protect items salvaged from the Sarajevo Museum, while it was being bombarded and while it was being restored.
