Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We almost went to this museum but discovered that it’s closed due to damage sustained in last year’s earthquake. Not sure when it’s supposed to re-open.

A joy to wander among the masters.....with rarely another person in sight. The top floor exhibits paintings primarily from the 12th to the 20th centuries. French, Spanish, Italian, and Flemish/Dutch and a display of medieval Russian icons. Familiar masters well represented!
The pieces are well organized and well displayed in a beautiful old mansion.
This museum is a gem!

This is an exceptional mega Museum consisting of private art collection of Ante Topic Mimara, a rare and dedicated individual. I went through this amazing exhibits spanning three millennia from wide range of periods and regions across the globe. The Museum is in three floors in sequencially numbered halls and informative signages. From Chinese bronzes, oriental carpets, Archeological collection from Romanesque, Gothic art, Icons, European sculptures, paintings of master artists and many more, this Museum enthralled me. The brochure in english is excellent and staff are very helpful. The admission ticket is 30 Kuna and there is also shop selling museum related souvenirs and art pieces including prints and photographs. Not to be missed by any traveller.

This was the most beautiful venue for our daughter’s wedding reception this past June, 2019! The museum is gorgeous from the outside as well as the inside.…the exhibits are beautiful and well worth the visit while in Zagreb.
The venue can be rented for special events after hours and it is sure to impress! The catering company- Majetić Catering is beyond professional as is their staff! The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Mimara museum is not to be missed for its beautiful exhibits and if one has a special event, such as a wedding- this is THE place to have it in! Highly recommend!

The second floor has many rooms filled with old masters from different countries and eras. The app for the tour was also easy to use, informative but not overly so. On the negative side, the rooms were way too hot and the art could have been lit better.

It was a rainy day and this museum wasn't far from the hotel. Nice friendly staff but the collection isn't well documented and, as other reviewers have noted, many of the works are either "in the manner of" or attributed to an artist but with a "?" beside the name.
We paid a reduced rate for 65+ so weren't too put out.

We enjoyed this museum because there is a wide variety of different art offerings.
It is a beautiful building and easy to navigate the several floors of art.
The location is just beyond The Arts and Crafts museum; same tram stop.

Il museo è grande , ben allestito . Al secondo piano sono esposte circa un migliaio di opere , tra le quali grandi artisti italiani del 400 - 600. Una visita veloce richiede non meno di due ore , ma val la pena farla con calma.
