This museum very often stages exciting exhibitions from all over the world and in the summer is known to host also special festivals that include live concerts and other theatrical events or screenings. It's worthwhile visiting then. The standard exhibits are less exiciting and not worht the tourist's time. The building and the adjacent square are the visitors' must.

I like the exhibits in this museum because they are intended to portray the ordinary parts of Croatian life. Bread, costumes, tools, etc. The acoustics are not good, but the museum is well designed and easy to navigate.

This museum provides exhibits of, well, arts and crafts that are very distinctively southern European. The furniture displays are very unusual and show the effects of centuries of Austrian and Ottoman Empire influence. The sculpture and pottery displays are equally fascinating.
