Herastrau is Bucharest's biggest park, always a lovely walk in there. Good to go ciclying or roller skating, renting a boat, too. Located right next to the Village Museum (Muzeul Satului) - another attraction not to be missed !

Bucharest has under 7 sqm of green space per inhabitant as opposed to 32 sqm in Warsaw, 64 sqm in London or 83 sqm in Stockholm. This is why Herastrau Park is important. It is one of the big parks, where anybody can go and find something interesting to do and relax. There one can find also the Village Museum,... More

My husband and I strolled through this park on a holiday. It was very peaceful. There was lots going on- bike riders, families, roller skaters, music, etc. There were also lots of snack vendors with yummy snacks!!!

You can easily get here from Aviatorilor metro. the park is a mix of formal gardens, sculpture park and open park land with a massive lake running through it. Take the opportunity to look at the Arcul de Triumf while you're there and also go to the Village Museum.
