One of the few places where you can be sure the show is worth the money. Every time I went to the National Theatre I saw plays that were worth seeing the second, third, fourth ... time. And not only because of the actors. It's the whole atmosphere.

National Theatre is working now on minimum speed :) because it is under renovation. We are waiting the complet renovation, good performances, and air conditioning!

if you can buy tickets at a good play, good luck. i've seen great actors, but smth. it's a challenge to get there

The plays I saw at the National Theatre were great!

A lot of great actors perform here. The theatre is involved in great festivals(like flamenco festival this times). I'ts in renovation now, hoping it will look even better that the old design... Depending on luck, it can be cold or hot in summer, due the renovation process.

My last visit at the Temple of the Romanian Theater was at the play of Jean Anouilh with "The Egoist". It was a memorable evening, a spectacle with the talented maestro Radu Beligan - an over 90 years old artist.

Replacing old theatre this was built in 80thies. Not an excellent look, with quite old decoration, but very good acoustics.

The theater is located in the center of Bucharest, accessible by metro (station Universitate) and by all the buses and trollies that go through the center of the city. In 2012 the building is undergoing massive restoration so it is partially closed.

Nice amplacement in very centre of the city but a poor arhitectural conception(the roof was changet twice)
