The condition these animals are kept in is illegal and I have selected to write to several organisations denouncing them. My son and daughter were very upset after visiting this, wolves trapped in cages that were barely 10m2 ants lions in horrible conditions..

Good to visit from time to time, best in autumn because can be cold in winter time and also in summer is nice when small animals are out. Nice to go with children and spend a day with animals.

It's the ideal place to spend a weekend day with the family, it's unbelievable how many animals are present in the belgrade's zoo. There is also a kid's area where some little animals are free so that you can touch them. Really clean and well organized.

It feels really different visiting a zoo in the ruins of a castle. Unfortunately, the animals really don't have enough space. It would be a really great zoo if they would only choose smaller animals to fit in the limited space.

Unique locatio for a zoo and some of the cages are walled by the old fortress walls. Very interesting to see. We visited this zoo after Vienna (where there is a fantastic zoo) and although very different in design and size, we enjoyed this one just as much. Plenty of things to see and do in Belgrade, but if you... More

Last year, the zoo got some rear animals, like the white tiger, the white lion, cassowary and some very rare types of birds. But nice to visit in spring, beginning of fall and not so hot summer. Grat and beautiful!!!! :D

The zoo has an excellent selection of animals from all over the world. It is a shame the presentation is not better. Tucked into the side of (and actually within) the Belgrade fortress, the grounds are smaller than one would expect for the size of the collection. There were plans to move the zoo to the Great War Island, which... More

I really enjoyed my visit to this relatively small, but still very impressive zoo. Its location is amazing in Kalemegdan Park, next to the famous Belgrade Fortress. I went there in the autumn, and the colourful leaves made my visit even more memorable. The Zoo has some really amazing animals, like the white tiger, the white lions, and the white... More
