Unfortunately we didn't find much to do at the causeway--maybe we didn't go to the right area. There were bikes to rent and it was nice to walk around, but overall, not a highlight of our trip. Nice for an afternoon visit for an hour, but don't plan your day around it.

A fun place with lots of night life. Many great restaurants. Great place to walk around.

This is one of my favorite areas of Panama City. It's very clean, long wide sidewalks and incredible scenery. The yachts are just incredible. There are quite a few very good restaurants to chose from. There are also numerous fishing boats for hire, if you care to deep sea fish.

Tried Balboa beer took a jillion photos and had the best seafood meal that I can remember!

The causeway is a nice place to jog and go for a bike ride. The views from to Causeway looking towards downtown is lovely.

There's a few restaurants and a duty free shop but the main reason to go there is for the views back across the water to the city. Outstanding!

Go for the lunch buffet (a little expensive by local standards, reserve a terrace seat in advance). Decent museum and movie, the main event is watching the ships go through the locks. Cabs to and from are not a problem, as always negotiate in advance and watch for bootleg cabs.

There were plenty of people who recommended this to us, including our books and tripadvisor itself. Perhaps we just didn't get it, but we walked from the marina all the way to the start of the causeway and found it to be pretty boring. The views weren't all that spectacular either.
