Took our two kids (10 year old girl and 7 year old boy) on a Saturday in May. We practically had the place to ourselves! They loved the whole thing. Senior citizens will appreciate re-living their youth in some exhibits; grandchildren and great-grandchildren will see what those good 'ole days were all about. A class act! more

My family really enjoyed the museum! There's something to interest everyone. The entrance fee is VERY reasonable and we plan to go back again as I'm sure we missed a lot. It's a wonderful way to spend the day! more

I live in Augusta, and I would say the state museum is one of the more interesting things in town. It has a nifty little gift shop full of interesting Maine products, for which one does not need to pay admission.
