Unfortunately the fort was closed but we got to walk around it and see how they were made.

Old Fort Western, located in the heart of Augusta, ME is one of the oldest remaining forts in the US. Located at a strategic point along the Kennebec river, Fort Western was used as a supply depot from Boston to points further upriver.
