The Schooner Woodwind was a marvelous 2-hour cruise at sunset on the Chesapeake Bay. We loved it! The crew was knowledgeable, and very friendly. I absolutely loved being on the ship. We chose a Monday night Sunset Historic Tour because it seemed most kid friendly. The crew was wonderful and very engaging with all the guest. Both my daughter and husband enjoyed "helping" the crew with various tasks. Fantastic "colonial" lady on board that shared many stories of colonial times. She was very enteraining for the children who LOVED her magic!!... more

Do not book this in advance unless the weather is perfect. We were forced to board despite rain and thunder. The captain then kept us out in driving rain for over an hour. We were so soaked we had to cancel dinner. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. more

We live near Annapolis and took my brother and his family including kids age 12 and 14 for one of these two hour sails. It was a beautiful day and the staff were courteous and answered all of our questions about the ship-and she is a beauty! The free drink helped quench everyone's thirst.
