Town squares are always the best place to hang out and people watch. this one is exceptional in that it has some real history. Our one hour stop during a cruise ship excursion revealed much about daily life in Antigua. The ancient city is filled with life from all walks many dressed in the traditional clothing of this beautiful country. If all the tourist went away the city would continue as a center of cultural diversity and vibrant part of Guatemala. more

It is really interesting to see all kind of people walking up and down while you are sitting in one of the colonial benches in the "Parque Central" (the main square) while enjoying a drink.
