Its worth stopping by to check it out. However, you will not be able to sit and relax due to the large amount of people coming up to you trying to sell necklaces, textiles, wooden musical instruments, weed, cocaine, etc. It was seriously annoying. After telling seller after seller that I wasn't interested, I finally just got up and left.

The Plaza is a great place to sit and relax in Antigua. The landscaping is beautiful and the fountains are very interesting. The Plaza is one of my favorite places to visit in Antigua.

Nice for a quick visit, but the shoe shine boys and textile vendors as well as other vendors make it difficult to just walk around and see the park.

Start from here to shop, eat, people watch. The jade shop are just a few blocks away, and the markets two blocks.

Safe and busy, beautiful park surrrounded by plenty of history

My husband & I would sit on a bench in the park with a coffee & simply watch people go by... The park is beautiful & is full of interesting people & activity all around.

This central park is always full of people taking advantage of the ambiance provided by the huge fountain adorned with a live floral arrangement, sitting areas, and beautiful landscaping.

This park was so peaceful and tranquil. Located in the center of town, it is a nice place to sit and relax in the middle of shopping. Also, anything that you need to purchase is within arms reach. There are also friendly street vendors who will sell you lots of nice trinkets and souvenirs.

Great views at Agua volcano from the arcade on the other side of the plaza. Of course it the sky is clear :)
