Very pretty area but definitely the most expensive shops in Antigua are on this street around the Arco.

the place is probably one of the best restaurants in Antigua the menu is fantastic and the food is delicious most of the time has entertainment and the setting is awesome, the name tells you everything The Santa Catalina Arch the most emblematic symbol of Antigua.

It is a great area to shop, eat and people watch. We enjoyed the wine bar and Freida's Restaurant.

I visited right before the Good Friday procession. When I looked at the ruins to the left of the arch it was filled with all the "floats" they use in the processions. Very cool to see. Great for photos and a fun street to walk on, with lots of vendors and interesting strores.

Make sure you bring a wide angle lens for your camera. I used my 28 but missed my 12-24 lens here.
